April Johnson graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, and minor in Chemistry.
She started her career in the veterinary field shortly after graduation by joining the team at Grant Avenue Pet Hospital in December of 1996. She spent the next 21+ years at Grant Ave, growing her passion for patient care and client communication, thru her role as the surgery technician.
She also found a love for rescue, and fostering for SouthEast Pug Rescue & Adoption. Her pug Ruby was a former foster. But, after one week of being with her, she knew she was already home. April and Ruby share their home with 3 cats: Lelu, Parker, and Doug.
In February 2018, April transferred to Bradford to join the study team. She is excited to work with clinical trials that will help in the advancement of veterinary medicine.
In her free time, April likes to spend time with her family, and fur-kids, as well as competing in Powerlifting and Highland Games.
