April Johnson graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, and minor in Chemistry.
She started her career in the veterinary field shortly after graduation, by joining the team at Grant Avenue Pet Hospital in December of 1996. She spent the next 21+ years at Grant Ave, growing her passion for patient care and client communication, thru her role as their Surgery technician. She worked on her first clinical trials while at Grant Avenue, where she learned the immense value of the trials, and the amazing advancements they help to bring to Veterinary Medicine. April transferred to the Bradford Park clinical trials team, in February of 2018. Her continued hard work, here at Bradford Park, has lead her to her current position, of Clinical Trials Coordinator. She is honored to be a part of the Bradford Park Legacy.
In her free time, April loves to spend time with her family, and fur-kids, as well as competing in Strongman and Highland Games. She also found a love for rescue at a young age, and fostered for SouthEast Pug Rescue & Adoption, for over 19 years. She currently has 2 very spoiled rescue pugs, Elle and Bruiser Woofs, and is proud to be owned by her 2 cats, Parker and Doug.
