Dr. Audra O’Keefe was raised on a hobby beef farm in Nixa and quickly figured out that she would rather care for the barn cats than the cattle. She attended both undergraduate and veterinary school at the University of Missouri and graduated with her doctorate in 2018. Following veterinary school Dr. O’Keefe decided it was time to escape the humidity of the Midwest and move to Montana where she practiced as an emergency veterinarian at a 24 hour small animal emergency clinic, and then became the managing veterinarian of a small animal general practice. After not seeing her Missouri family for an extended period of time during the COVID pandemic, Dr. O’Keefe decided it was time to leave Big Sky Country and move back home where she found her place at Bradford Park Veterinary Hospital in 2022 as the managing veterinarian. Dr. O’Keefe works closely with the wonderful team of doctors and hospital manager Caitlin to develop protocols for the hospital, mentor, and make sure that the hospital is running smoothly from a medical standpoint to provide the best patient and client experience. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but especially loves caring for senior patients and making sure they’re comfortable and happy in their golden years and doing complicated soft tissue surgeries. In her spare time, you can find Dr. O’Keefe spending time with her husband, son, three dogs, and one cat.
