Dr. Bridget Zacharias grew up in Smithville, Missouri and wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age (initially with a side passion for storm chasing). A true Missouri girl (Go Chiefs!), she went to both undergraduate and veterinary school at the University of Missouri graduating in 2014. During her time in school, she learned the important skills to provide medical care for exotic pets, injured wildlife, and even did mentorships and externships in several different zoos and specialty hospitals. As a veterinarian, she enjoys caring for all animals, but has a special interest in exotic pets, soft tissue surgery, and senior pet care. Dr. Zacharias is also has a passion for all things dachshund and is currently the happy pet owner of two long haired dachshunds, Thyme and Dottie. When she is not at work, she enjoys hiking, taking care of her plants, and relaxing with a good TV show or fictional book. Dr. Zacharias is looking forward to meeting all of her new patients and clients!
