Dr. Samantha Pearson grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas and had a love for animals from a small age. Undergraduate school brought her to Missouri, where she had the opportunity to travel abroad to Australia. During her time in Australia, she worked at a small zoo, and fell more in love with exotic animals. The pursuit of being a veterinarian who works with exotic species was the driving factor that made her choose Kansas State University for veterinary school. During her time in school, she learned the important skills to provide medical care for exotic pets, injured wildlife, and even did multiple mentorships and externships in several different zoos. As a veterinarian, she has a passion for caring for all animals, but has a special interest in exotic pets. She knows that these animals often go without proper medical care and is hoping to change this pattern for exotic pet owners in the area. Dr Pearson and her fiancé are currently happy pet owners of two dogs, a cat and a chinchilla. When she is not at work, she enjoys photography, exploring nature, and relaxing with a good movie or fictional book spiced with fairytales. Dr Pearson is very excited about meeting her soon to be clients and their beloved pets!
